Sample Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Toronto to Montreal
Your adventure begins at 8:00 am and after a warm welcome from your driver, you will travel east to the Thousand Islands resort area, which has been known as a smugglers paradise since the days of prohibition when liquor was smuggled from Canada into the USA. Next you will travel on to Montreal, the City of festivals and home to the largest French speaking population outside of Europe. In the evening you can practice your French in the cafes, bars and restaurants!

Day 2: Montreal
Enjoy free time in Montreal! Take in the local boutique shops or just relax in a cafe. You can also join your guide for a more in-depth tour of the city, including a visit to a famous smoked meat restaurant!

Day 3: Montreal to Quebec City
Travel to Quebec City, the only walled city in all of North America. Along the route you will visit Maurice Park and Montmorency Falls — a spectacular waterfall that is actually higher than Niagara Falls! Once in Quebec City, you will have free time to stroll along the cobblestone streets and enjoy the outdoor cafes, street musicians, local art and best of all — the fine food! In the evening enjoy a group dinner (included) at the hostel.

Day 4: Quebec City
Experience Quebec City with a free day! Before you head out, enjoy an included breakfast at the hostel. We suggest that you explore this old city on foot - and don't forget your camera!

Day 5: Quebec City to Mont Tremblant
In the morning you will start with a hearty breakfast (included) and then drive to Mont Tremblant, a beautiful ski village located in the Laurentian Mountains. Stroll around the beautiful town, and adventuresome passengers can try their hand at the luge decent! In the evening enjoy a cooked dinner (included) and an outdoor campfire by the lake.

Day 6: Mont Tremblant to Ottawa
In the morning you will hit the road through spectacular Laurentian hills towards Ottawa, the capital of Canada. First you will stop at Omega Park for a close-up look at wildlife including deer, bear, moose and more. You will love feeding the animals! Arrive in Ottawa around 3:00 pm and after check-in at the local hostel (a former jail), take a walking tour of the city and historic Parliament Hill. Afterward head out for a few drinks and dinner in the Byward Market!

Day 7: Ottawa to Toronto
The last leg of your journey takes you from Ottawa through the spectacular cottage country areas to Toronto. You will arrive around 6:00 pm then be dropped off at your accommodation. Remember that you will have a wrap-up party on the patio of Global Village Backpackers right after you return — so don’t miss out!

Food & Beverages:
Each hostel on the route offers a self-serve kitchen so you can prepare your own food. You also have the choice of eating at restaurants or cafes, so ask your driver or guide for recommendations. This tour includes some meals and activities (see Tour Itinerary).

Preparing For Your Trip:
~ Bring proper clothing for the tour. The weather in Canada is predictable, but changes in temperature can occur throughout the day depending on location (this is especially true in the mountains or during the spring and fall months elsewhere).
~ If possible, bring a credit card with you while traveling. Credit cards can be used as identification and for making deposits on rentals if needed.
~ Don’t forget your camera — you will definitely want to take photos of new friends, beautiful scenery and wild animals!
